ABOUT THE MIX:
In every genre of music, there's a sub-genre, off-shoot, or derivative, and techno is no exception. Dark techno is the sound of the industrial, the horror, and apocalyptic too. There are a lot of artists out there, like SNTS, Headless Horseman, Paula Temple, Oscar Mulero, Rebekah, and more are joining their ranks seemingly every day. What I want you to get from this mix, is that techno - even in its most primal of forms - is a kind of unraveling. Techno is more about rhythm than melodies, it's about audio textures, and sonic evolution.
This month's mix is a serious exercise in this genre. I have combed through my collection for the selections used here, and they're here because of their sonic characteristics as well as rhythm and danceability. There will be artist names you may have never heard of. If you hear a track you like, I urge you to go and support them. Because like yours truly, every little bit helps. Make sure you have earplugs to save your hearing, and stretch before dancing, especially to this mix, as we'll be traveling at 130+ BPMs. And I wouldn't want you to pull a muscle or anything.
