ABOUT THE MIX:

There's something amazing about house music. It's fans can be a dedicated as that relative who feels that religion is the answer to everything. So much so, that you'll even hear fans consider the fact that the events they attend their church. I happened to fortunate enough to experience house music in the late 1980's as the rise of the rave scene was on the horizon. I have had those very same feelings you see evangelical attendees get from their beliefs, in house music. From those "raise your hands" moments, to what people would possibly consider to be the "prayer" of house music: "In the beginning there was Jack. And Jack had a groove..." You might want to Google that last sentence to hear it for yourself.

I thought I would do a deep, disco-y, funky, jacking, tribal house mix this month. The tracks presented here were carefully selected to cover as many of these sub-genres, and while there are current selections, there are some serious gems that my fellow house DJs and house-heads will be glad to hear that I included in this mix. As per usual, the mix was done in just one take, no-edits, and the proof can be seen on the YouTube channel (red button below).
