MARAUDER / RIDE EP

The Marauder / Ride EP brings a cinematic, cat-n-mouse, race-n-chase to The Engineer’s genre of choice: techno. In ‘Marauder’, you’ll hear the horns as the marauders chasing after the arpeggiated synth plucks — our ‘hero’ as he’s rescued the girl, and is trying to escape on his motorcycle. Where as ‘Ride’ is a late-night highway race where one false move on your superbike could mean instant death. The hi-hats are the street lights whizzing past, the hand claps are other vehicles, the crackling synths is the wind whipping past as we quickly check to see if our opponent is gaining on us, and the kick drum is our pounding heart trying to break out of our ribcage as we pass every vehicle as if they’re all standing still. And one young woman, in a car we slide by sums it up with just one sentence: “Oh my god!”. Enjoy!
